Network of correspondents (NEC)

Input from the correspondents supports Eurofound’s research by gathering, analysing and reporting on specific developments (policies, practices and regulations) in the EU Member States in relation to the thematic areas covered in Eurofound’s Multiannual research programme 2025–2028, and supporting Eurofound outreach at national level. The network has the following roles:

Monitoring and reporting on developments in working-life

Contributing to comparative research and thematic work

Validating and/or updating Eurofound databases

Supporting Eurofound outreach at national level

The network may contribute to research in all of the four strategic areas set out in the Multiannual research programme.

National correspondents report regularly on developments in working life and restructuring. Working life country profiles are also in place and regularly updated based on information from the network. National contributions for representativeness studies are provided. Alongside these regular inputs, national correspondents also provide national information related to specific research questions which are either published in a comparative overview or feed into larger-scale research reports.
